The TMC Reef Pump 2000 DC is a compact and very inexpensive pump for freshwater and saltwater fish tanks. It combines TMC’s expert super-quiet technology with a mixture of user-friendly features. This allows the Pump to achieve optimum flow and circulation levels within your tank. The 2000 DC pump from TMC has a maximum flow rate of 2000 litres per hour.
TMC’s latest innovation has a low voltage of 24v that ensures low energy consumption along with high power and flow rates. This gives the best possible performance for a very low outlay. The TMC Reef Pump 2000 DC features a variable speed controller with 20 different speed settings.

What Abyss thinks
As return pumps go this unit and all its siblings have surprised us to be honest. We did expect to have some issues with such an inexpensive rebranded Chinese pump. However we have sold a great many of these units and have no problem endorsing it. The only thing worth a mention is that despite the fact the Pump looks as though it can run dry, it can not.
So if you are in the market for a budget return pump for fresh or saltwater that is DC and can be set. This range of TMC pumps has our blessing, good value, quiet and reliable.
The TMC Reef Pump 2000 can also be used for water features and small ponds. Just as long as the controller does not get wet.
